Secure Your CLAW: Don't Get Rekt
Crypto security is your responsibility. There's no bank to call if you lose your keys. Here's how to protect your CLAW.
Golden Rules
- Never share your seed phrase with anyone
- Verify all contract addresses before interacting
- Use hardware wallets for significant amounts
- Double-check URLs to avoid phishing
We will NEVER ask for your seed phrase. Anyone who does is a scammer.
Wallet Types
Hot Wallets (Software)
MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow. Convenient but connected to the internet. Use for small amounts and daily transactions.
Cold Wallets (Hardware)
Ledger, Trezor. Offline storage, highest security. Use for large holdings you don't need frequent access to.
Common Scams to Avoid
- Phishing sites: Always check URLs carefully
- Fake support: No legit support asks for seed phrases
- giveaway scams: "Send 1 CLAW, get 2 back" is always a lie
- Malicious contracts: Only interact with verified contracts
Best Practices
- Write seed phrase on paper, never digitally
- Store backups in multiple secure locations
- Use separate wallets for different purposes
- Regularly check connected sites and revoke permissions
- Keep software updated
If You Get Hacked
Unfortunately, blockchain transactions are irreversible. Act fast:
- Move remaining funds to a new wallet immediately
- Revoke all contract permissions
- Report to relevant authorities
- Warn the community
